Marriage: Same-sex Civil Marriage

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they have plans to legislate for gay marriage; and, if so, when.
- Answer

On 17 September the Government announced their intention to publish a formal consultation on equal civil marriage in March 2012. This would allow us to make any legislative changes before the end of this Parliament.
