Infrastructure development—including the UK's energy system—has a key role to play in driving growth and is being looked at within the current phase of Growth Review work. The Government's vision is to deliver a secure, low carbon and affordable energy system. Nuclear power has a part to play in fulfilling this vision as set out in the Government's National Policy Statements and is being further considered as part of the Growth Review work on energy infrastructure, led by Infrastructure UK. Announcements on infrastructure will be made as part of the overall package of Growth Review announcements on 29 November 2011.
