Empty Property: Shops
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government (1) what steps he is taking to increase footfall on high streets with high levels of empty buildings; and if he will make a statement;

Mary Portas published her independent review of the high street in December. Her report addresses the issues raised of empty buildings, increasing footfall, local independent traders, charity shops and what needs to be done to develop more prosperous and diverse high streets. The Government are considering the recommendations made in the report and will publish their response in the spring.
