Health: Anthrax Vaccine

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they intend to attend an international conference in May 2012 on preparedness and response to an outbreak of anthrax; and, if so, what preparations they are making.

The Government are not aware of any conferences on preparedness and response to an outbreak of anthrax planned for May 2012, nor have any notices or invitations been received for such an event. The United Kingdom participates in many major international conferences and provides significant input to international bodies such as NATO, the European Union and the Global Health Security Action Group.
