Iran: Diplomatic Relations

- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he has had discussions with the government of Iran on provision of compensation for recent damage to the British Embassy in Tehran; and what its response has been.
- Answer

We are currently assessing the damage caused to our embassy in Tehran and the associated costs caused by recent events, and will be seeking compensation from the Government of Iran, who have given initial assurances that compensation will be paid.
