- To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills (1) what assessment he has made of the effectiveness of the Technology Transfer Office system in the commercialisation of intellectual property;

The Government have asked Professor Sir Tim Wilson, former vice-chancellor of the university of Hertfordshire and Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) board member, to undertake a review into how to make the UK the best place in the world for university-industry collaboration. Professor Wilson's review will cover the exploitation of collaborative research and innovation between businesses and universities. The report will be submitted to Government soon.
