Armed Forces: Medals

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Wallace of Saltaire on 24 November 2011 (WA 274), whether the Committee on the Grant of Honours, Decorations and Medals has considered whether holders of the Merchant Navy Medal may wear this decoration alongside United Kingdom decorations; and, if not, when they will do so.

The Committee on the Grant of Honours, Decorations and Medals has not considered whether holders of the Merchant Navy Medal may wear this decoration alongside United Kingdom decorations. The committee will only do so if any such recommendation is put forward by the sponsoring department.
