Lighters: Safety

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills pursuant to the answer of 10 October 2011, Official Report, column 275W, on lighters: safety, which authorities have taken action in response to concerns from industry.
Answer

Local authorities are not required to inform us of their market surveillance activities regarding lighters and as a result we do not have a complete picture of the activities that have been undertaken in response to concerns from industry.
