Dogs: Electric Shock Equipment

- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how soon after the publication of the research into electric dog collars an announcement on her Department's policy on the use of such collars will be made.

The findings of the research into the effects of electronic training devices on dogs are not due to be published until the spring. It is not possible to say at this stage when an announcement will be made, as we do not yet know what the research's analysis will conclude.
