Dogs: Electric Shock Equipment

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what recent assessment she has made of her Department's research project on the implications for the welfare of dogs of electric shock collars.
Answer

We expect to publish the findings of the research into the effects of electronic training devices on dogs in spring. It is not possible to say at this stage when an assessment will be made, as we do not have the final research findings.
