Wind Power: Shropshire

- To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what assessment he has made of the efficacy of the opportunities available to local communities in Shropshire to engage with relevant planning authorities on planning applications to install wind turbines in the Rea Valley.

We have not made a specific assessment of the situation in the Rea Valley, but I refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Wellingborough (Mr Bone) on 15 March 2012, Official Report, columns 398-99W.
