Children: Parenting
- Question
- To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord McNally on 9 February (WA 87), whether they consider the deprivation of a parental relationship to constitute need, or harm, in respect of a child.

The Government's view is that, following relationship breakdown, it is beneficial for both parents to continue to be involved in a child's upbringing and to have regular contact with the child, provided this is safe and in the best interests of the child concerned.
