Abortion

Question
(2) how many abortions were carried out on women in each age group in each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement.

Data for the number of abortions¹ performed from 2006 to 2010 (the latest year for which figures are available) by gestation and by age group are set out in the following tables:"¹ Figures are for the number of abortions performed; in a very small number of cases there will have been more than one foetus."
