Refugees: Asylum

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department in what circumstances a stateless person would be expected to provide a passport when making an application for asylum in the UK.
- Answer

All applicants for asylum are expected to provide documents relating to their identity, nationality or country of habitual residence in so far as it is reasonable for them to do so. However, it is recognised that in some circumstances this will not be possible.
