Southern Sudan
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what steps his Department has taken to support refugees in South Sudan.
- Answer
-
The UK's humanitarian programmes in South Sudan are addressing emergency needs for refugees, returnees and internally displaced people. In December, I approved a two-year package of support for the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Common Humanitarian Fund in South Sudan. We are working on a further package of support to meet the current significant regional difficulties.
