- To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what steps he is taking to monitor the performance of the Student Loans Company.

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills reviews the performance of the Student Loans Company (SLC) on a continuous basis. Regular meetings are held at official level, including as part of the shared governance arrangements in place for overseeing student finance delivery. Formal performance reviews are held quarterly, most recently on 7 February 2012, and twice yearly are chaired by me.
