- To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the remarks by the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Mr Danny Alexander, on 10 February concerning higher rate tax relief on pensions contributions were compatible with the obligation set out in Section 2.1 of the Ministerial Code (collective responsibility).

I refer the noble Lord to the Budget Statement made on 21 March by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, which make clear the Government's policy in this area.
