Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012: Olympic Truce

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what discussions the Department for Education has had with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office about its plans for the implementation of the United Nations resolution declaring the Olympic Truce for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is co-ordinating the government international response to the UN resolution on the Olympic Truce in support of pursuing the Government’s conflict prevention objectives as set out in the Government’s Building Stability Overseas Strategy.
