- If he will have discussions with the Audit Commission about ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of relevant activities which fall within the responsibility of his Department with a view to securing better value for money. - I am confident that the commission continues to fulfil its remit, which extends to England & Wales, in promoting value for money across the range of services.
