Whether, in the light of the recent amendment in the Road Traffic Bill that facilitates vetting of those applying for a taxi driver's licence, he will issue advice to local authorities concerning the use of criminal records to determine who is a fit and proper person to hold a taxi licence on the lines of those described in HOC 102(88) which relates to the vetting of those who have access to children.
