Miss Emma Nicholson: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what plans Her Majesty's Government have to use their good offices to raise the issue of reparation payments for damage to property and infrastructure inflicted during the recent Israeli-Lebanese conflict as part of a peace settlement.[28562] Mr. Hanley: Details of a peace settlement between Israel and Lebanon would be a matter for the two countries concerned. We are concerned by the scale of damage in Lebanon and are discussing Lebanese requests for reconstruction assistance with our EU partners.
