Mr. Cox: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what was the financial cost incurred in 1995 by Her Majesty's Government in respect of campaigns on the dangers of smoking.[28974] Mr. Horam: In the 1995-96 financial year, the Department provided £6.5 million for anti-smoking campaign activity in England. In addition, health authorities and trusts run local anti-smoking campaigns.
