Mr. Martyn Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what plans his Department has to incorporate ill health due to poverty in future statistics; and if he will make a statement.[31849] Mr. Horam: Through its public health information strategy, the Department of Health has agreed a common information framework to ensure that information about the health status of the population is collected and analysed in a consistent way. That framework includes a number of socio-economic variables, to enable analysis of the association between health and socio-economic status.
