Question: What consultations he has had with the Chairman of the Welsh Health Common Services Authority regarding the late supply of information on prescribing costs to health authorities by the Prescription Pricing Authority.

Answer: Mr. Morgan: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what consultations he has had with the chairman of the Welsh Health Common Services Authority regarding the late supply of information on prescribing costs to health authorities by the Prescription Pricing Authority. [40674] Mr. Hague: The Prescription Pricing Authority does not operate in Wales. My officials have written to the Chief Executive of the Welsh Health Common Services Authority about the late supply of information by his prescription information and pricing services division. He has replied with an assurance that the division will be completely up to date by the beginning of March 1997. I am monitoring the situation and have asked for monthly progress reports.
