Question: What representations he has had from users and service providers of the London concessionary fares and Taxicard schemes regarding the proposals recommended in a review of the operation of those schemes carried out for the London Committee on Accessible Transport; and if he will make it his policy that the present administration of these schemes will not be impaired.

Answer: Mr. Bendall: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has had from users and service providers of the London concessionary fares and taxicard schemes regarding the proposals recommended in a review of the operation of those schemes carried out for the London committee on accessible transport; and if he will make it his policy that the present administration of these schemes will not be impaired. [496] Mr. Bowis: I have received representations from the company which is contracted to provide the London taxicard scheme. These are matters for the London boroughs and my Department is not able to intervene.
