Mr. Barry Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will implement a temporary guaranteed price system to restore confidence in the beef industry in Wales. [25] Mr. Jonathan Evans: The Government have committed £2.5 billion to various measures to support the beef industry. We have no plans to introduce a price guarantee which would do nothing to support the industry in the medium to longer term.
