Mr. Donohoe: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much it cost to transfer the Stone of Destiny back to Scotland; and how much it is estimated it will cost to have it installed in Edinburgh castle. [6364] Mr. Michael Forsyth: [holding answer 28 November 1996]: The cost incurred by Historic Scotland in transferring the Stone of Destiny from Westminster to Edinburgh is estimated at £4,737. The cost incurred in installing the Stone of Destiny in Edinburgh castle is estimated at £5,100.
