Question: If he will list those lobbying organisations in the United Kingdom which receive money from EU institutions and which are actively involved in promoting the benefit of the EU, indicating the amounts of money they receive. - Inc ref to chapter A-30 of the EC budget (in Library).

Answer: Mr. Marlow: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list those lobbying organisations in the United Kingdom which receive money from EU institutions and which are actively involved in promoting the benefit of the EU, indicating the amounts of money they receive. [5956] Mr. David Davis: The European Commission does not publish a detailed list of grants to lobbying organisations. However, chapter A-30 of the EC budget provides a broad outline of Community subsidies, including to "bodies and projects advancing the idea of Europe". These grants are intended to fund information provision, research and other relevant activities. A copy of the Ec budget has been deposited in the Libraries of the House.
