Mr. Tony Banks: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what steps he is taking to reduce the number of deaths arising from smoking-related diseases.[35798] Mr. Horam: Government strategy to reduce smoking is based on those measures which are known to work. Our record in reducing smoking prevalence to 26 per cent. is one of the best in Europe.
