- What is policy of Crown Prosecution Service re institution of prosecutions against police officers in cases where criminal charges against others are subsequently dropped & damages are awarded against the police & in cases where a defendant is acquitted & subsequently brings an action for wrongful arrest, false imprisonment or malicious prosecution & is awarded damages against the police.
