- What steps he expects to take to ensure that fares in public stage carriage bus services are no higher than providing a just return on invested capital (a) on all routes and (b) where competition has been eliminated by an initial period of free travel or heavily subsidised fares. - The setting of fares on bus services is a commercial decision for bus operators.
