- Question
- What action HMG propose to take following the Law Commission's recommendation that there should be an early change in the law to make it possible to convict people obtaining loans, such as mortgages, by deception. - The Law Commission's report on Conspiracy to Defraud, (SOP 84/927) which contained that recommendation, was published on 7 December. We are currently considering its contents and will respond to the recommendations in due course.
