What consultations he has had with the Chairman of the NRA Wales Region concerning the numbers of salmon and sea-trout/sewin taken by water bailiffs in the River Taff for the purposes of assisted fertilisation at the hatchery; and what evaluation has been made of the relative strength of the homing instinct of naturally spawned salmon in Taff catchment headwaters relative to those spawned in the hatchery; in relation to the numbers of migratory salmonoid in the River Taff crossing Blackweir, Llandaf Weir and Radyr Weir on spawning runs for each year since 1985; and if he will give the figures for this year to date; in relation to the effectiveness of the Taff fish passes installed at Blackweir, Llandaf Weir and Radyr Weir since their construction; in what year each was installed; what evaluation has been made of their effectiveness and concerning the impact of the piling operations for the Cardiff Bay barrage on salmon and seatrout/sewin spawning runs into Taff and Ely during 1995 and 1996. - None.
