Mr. Chris Smith: To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security when he proposes to introduce regulations to integrate one-parent benefit; and child benefit; and if he will make a statement. [8510] Mr. Andrew Mitchell: We aim to commence the statutory consultation procedures under sections 170 to 176 of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 in February. Regulations will be laid before Parliament as soon as possible after the consultation process is completed.
