Pursuant to her Answer of 4th December, Official Report, column 119W, on student loans, what timetable is expected for the tendering process for the contract to establish a new central database for the processing of student loans; and when a draft tender document will be drawn up. - These have yet to be finalised.

Mr. Bryan Davies: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, pursuant to her answer of 4 December, Official Report, column 119, on student loans, what timetable is expected for the tendering process for the contract to establish a new central database for the processing of student loans; and when a draft tender document will be drawn up. [5775] Mr. Forth: The timetables for the tendering exercise and the draft tender documents for the provision of a central database have yet to be finalised.
