Mr. Fabricant: To ask the Prime Minister what assessment he has made of the effects of Her Majesty's Government's policies on employment prospects in Lichfield. [19200] The Prime Minister: The Government's sound economic policies and labour market reforms have encouraged employment creation throughout the country. Unemployment has fallen by more than a million in the United Kingdom, by more than 20,000 in the county of Staffordshire, and by more than 2,000 in Lichfield.
