How many CCTV cameras have been installed under the Government's CCTV challenge competitions in 1995 and 1996. (Failed OPQ). - Includes figure.
Answer

Mr. Dunn: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many CCTV cameras have been installed under the Government's CCTV challenge competitions in 1995 and 1996. [15298] Mr. Maclean: If all the winning schemes go ahead as planned, we estimate that more than 4,000 closed circuit television cameras will be installed with the assistance of funding from the first two challenge competitions.
