Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, if he will list the types of employment for which overseas domestic workers can seek employment within the United Kingdom.

Answer: Mr. Cox: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment if he will list the types of employment for which overseas domestic workers can seek employment within the United Kingdom. [21381] Mr. Alan Howarth: Work permits are not approved for overseas domestic workers. Overseas domestic workers, other than the domestic staff of diplomatic missions, can be allowed entry to accompany their employer under a concession outside the Immigration Rules for which my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary has responsibility. They do not have the right to change their employment.
