Mr. Hinchliffe: To ask the President of the Board of Trade what estimate she has made of the legal costs incurred to date by the Treasury Solicitor on behalf of the Medical Research Council in respect of CJD litigation. [6083] Mr. Battle: The total legal costs incurred to date by the Medical Research Council in relation to the litigation, including the costs of the Treasury Solicitor, amount to almost £49,000.
