Question: What are the projected starting date and date of completion for the A500 Shavington By-Pass; and what funds have been set aside for its construction. - Includes fact that next stage to service notices to treat upon landowners and expected to cost £21 million and take two years.

Answer: Mrs. Dunwoody: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what are the projected starting date and date of completion for the A500 Shavington bypass; and what funds have been set aside for its construction. [21506] Mr. Watts: Timing of construction will depend upon the availability of resources. The next stage is to serve notices to treat upon landowners and I have instructed the Highways Agency to commence this action. The works are expected to cost some £21 million and to take two years.
