Mr. Simon Hughes: To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many trusts failed to meet the deadline to agree contracts with their purchasers; and how many he expects to go to arbitration. [21086] Mr. Gwilym Jones: Agreement was reached by all trusts and health authorities in the 1996-97 financial year without recourse to arbitration. Negotiations for 1997-98 contracting round are on-going.
