Mr. Stewart: To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many inward investment projects have been attracted to Scotland in the 11 months to the end of February; what is the value of the planned investment concerned; and how many planned jobs will be created or safeguard thereby. [21155] Mr. Kynoch: In the 11 months to the end of February 1997, Locate in Scotland and the Scottish Office Education and Industry Department helped to attract to Scotland a total of 80 inward investment projects. These projects involve planned investment of £3.0 billion and the expected creation or safeguarding of 13,679 jobs.
