Answer: Mr. Mackinlay: To ask the Chairman of the Accommodation and Works Committee what advice is provided to the Committee about the compatibility of sculptures and pictures with the interior decoration of the rooms in which it is proposed that they should be placed. [13530] Sir Raymond Powell: On behalf of the Speaker, the Advisory Committee on Works of Art recommends the location of all important works of art within the precincts of the House of Commons. Professional advice is given by the Curator of Works of Art and his staff.
