Mr. Tim Smith: To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage when she expects to reply to the letter from the hon. Member for Beaconsfield of 15 May relating to television licensing. [12837] Mr. Sproat: [holding answer Tuesday 28 January 1997]: My hon. Friend's original correspondence and reminder were addressed to the Home Office. On transfer of the correspondence, the relevant enclosures were missing and the Department of National Heritage did not finally receive these until 14 November last year. A reply has been sent to my hon. Friend today, and I do apologise for the delay.
