Answer

Mr. Donohoe: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many job vacancies were advertised in the (a) Kilwinning and (b) Irvine job centres in each of the past six months; and how many people were registered as being unemployed during these periods in the parliamentary constituency of Cunninghame, South. [11334] Mr. Forth: Responsibility for the subject of the question has been delegated to the Employment Service agency under its chief executive. I have asked him to arrange for a reply to be given. Letter from Leigh Lewis to Mr. Brian H. Donohoe, dated 20 January 1997: The Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your question about the number of job vacancies advertised in the Kilwinning and Irvine Jobcentres in each of the last six months; and how many people were registered as being unemployed during these periods in the parliamentary constituency of Cunninghame South. For ease of reference I have attached, as Annex 1, a breakdown of the number of vacancies advertised in Kilwinning and Irvine Jobcentres over the last six months.
