Answer: Mr. Alex Carlile: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he will publish his response to the chief inspector of Her Majesty's prisons annual report; and if he will make a statement. The Government are grateful to the chief inspector for producing this considered and informative annual report, and have noted its contents.
