Question
Whether they approve the principle of an elected upper house, or second chamber, of parliament; whether they believe that members of an elected upper house, or second chamber, should be remunerated and provided with secretarial and research assistance at a level enjoyed by Members of the House of Commons; and what powers should be transferred from the House of Commons to this elected upper house, or second chamber. - The Government will bring forward their proposals for fulfilling their manifesto commitments on reforming the House of Lords in due course.
