To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, What plans he has to reform leasehold tenure. (Failed OPQ).
Answer

Mrs. Lait: To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what plans he has to reform leasehold tenure. [35469] Mr. Raynsford: We are not satisfied with the current state of leasehold law and intend to bring forward a new package of reforms to assist leaseholders. We are currently considering the scope and practicability of possible new measures and will be consulting interested parties later this year.
