Answer: Mr. Gordon Prentice: To ask the Prime Minister how many hon. Members have been identified by the security services as a security risk. [60433] The Prime Minister: I refer my hon. Friend to the answer I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Leyton and Wanstead (Mr. Cohen) on 2 November 1998, Official Report, column 402. It is not appropriate to comment in detail on security matters. However, in its recent annual report the Intelligence and Security Committee referred to the process and gave an indication of the numbers of honourable Members involved.
