- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what public access there is to European Council documents pertaining to the discussions after the Amsterdam IGC on interpreting the treaty negotiations relating to the opt-in to the Schengen Agreement by opt-out states. - Including ref to Council Decision 93/731/EC of 20 December 1993.

Mr. Bercow: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what public access there is to European Council documents pertaining to the discussions after the Amsterdam IGC on interpreting the treaty negotiations relating to the opt-in to the Schengen Agreement by opt-out states. [59807] Ms Quin: Members of the public may apply for access to any Council document under the provisions of Council Decision 93/731/EC of 20 December 1993. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis. The two draft Decisions identifying and incorporating the Schengen acquis have been made available to Parliament.
